Here is what the committee came up with:
- Information sessions about the program were conducted by the HR team to all managers and employees.
- Eligibility criteria were clearly outlined so that any employee could work from home if the nature of their work permitted it (some customer-facing employees did not meet the criteria but over 85% of the company’s 900 employees did).
- A Work from Home Program online application and approval process was implemented to identify employees who wished to participate.
- Eligible employees were able to work from home one day a week. Each participating employee could work with their direct manager to determine which day or whether it could vary from week to week.
